Dear Loving Parent,
"What must I do to get a
timeless portrait of my child?"...Such a question may have led you to
this web-page.
A
touching and powerful portrait of your child. This is
what we both desire to create! I am Colleen Fitzgerald, the principle
photographer at Photo Generations portrait studio in Dexter-- near Ann
Arbor, Michigan. I will sketch out here for you my approach to children
photography!
I
find that when parents understand something about the portrait creation
process--or how I approach creating a portrait--the entire
experience naturally becomes very enjoyable--and the
portraits occur in an unforced way during our portrait time together.
The nicest side benefit for Everyone is this: it is fun!
Child
portraiture is very different
from family or group portraiture! And it requires a different creation
strategy.
It
is my goal as a portrait artist to create an elegant
image or series of images, in a naturallly flowing manner.
Simplicity
is a goal. And it is simply best to come in
to the studio and see the portrait possibilities in person! Then we
will be able to focus on the style that appeals to you. For one person
a Black and White or Sepia (Brown Toned) image rings truest. Another
mother may prefer to see the Color in her childs eyes! Each style has
it's charm.
So
I encourage you to find a little time (I actually
urge you Now to contact me! : ) --before your child grows up and
changes!)...and discover the possibilities!
