Scneeflucken! Toddlers are fun at portrait session time

These are the first professional portraits Alexander has had!  Very glad he came to Photo Generations in Dexter!  Alexander is two years old.

Alexander didn’t talk when he first arrived.  Most two year olds don’t use words.  Imagine my surprise  when he said, ‘schneeflucken”, while gazing out the window!  His mom told me it is German for ‘snowflake’.  And Alexander was first to see the flakes from snow flurries that morning.

Because we were just concentrating on making a portrait of Alexander we were not pressed for time.  So, I had no need to start using my camera right away.  I concentrated on meeting Alexander, and welcoming him to my place.  I showed his mom to the ‘magic spot’ where we could all play right on the carpet by the big bay window.

His mom wisely brought a few special toys for Alexander to play with during our picture time.  Even though it was cloudy and snowy outside, we were toasty inside, with a great view of all the white snow on the other side of the bay windows. This little fella loved the view from our bay windows of downtown Dexter.

It seems 2 year old boys always love trucks of all kinds–whether little tonka trucks or the big trucks passing by on Baker Rd.   It was a great portrait session.  I look forward to seeing Alexander again!

mom’s a winner

Mom’s a winner! That is the message Ella wrote on her mom’s flower-a present she made in Mr. Spark’s Stockbridge elementary school class. Brother Cam hams for the camera while Ella gives mom a special kiss.

Thank you for coming to the studio, you guys, you made me laugh!
Happy Mother’s Day!
