Holiday Events in and Around Dexter, Chelsea MI

Live near Ann Arbor and looking for some holiday fun next weekend?  You are in luck:

Frday Dec. 3, Saturday December 4 and Sunday Dec. 5th, Youth Dance Theatre in Chelsea is presenting the annual Nutcracker Dance—preceded by something all the little girls will love:   the Sugar Plum Tea.  at the Chelsea High School Commons.  For details go to youthdancetheatre.org

Saturday December 4, the Village of Dexter is hosting the Holiday Hustle-a 5K run through town–this precedes the annual Christmas tree lighting.

*6th Annual Christmas Cookie Walk @ St. James, 10-2:30pm

*Roaming Ice Sculptures
*Babysitting for Shoppers @ Jazzercise, 10:30-2 & 2:30-6

Then, a week from Saturday, If you would like to volunteer help, on Dec 12 the Dexter Chamber is looking for help assembling and delivering the Luminaria that will set the village aglow Christmas eve.

the cookie walk at St James church, close to gazebo Monument Park is one of several attractions for those visting Dexter Sat. Dec. 4. Santa Calus will be in the GAzebo for children to visit, Holiday Hustle at 4pm is a 5K run, and hte Christmas Tree liglhting happens at 6., just some of the activities.

Ben Wilson will dance in The Nutcracker dance in Chelsea, Ben will be a Dexter High School class of 2011 grad, here in a senior portrait. At least 2 other Dexter students are involved in the production playing this weekend in Chelsea.
